Tips and Tricks in UT...

Like I said during the previous blogs, UT can be hard and it takes a lot of time to actually make your 'dream team'. And believe me, it's definitely worth it.

Hello everyone! How did you like the previous blog? Boring, right? I spent the whole time explaining game modes. But today, as the title suggests, I am going to give you my personal tips and tricks on how to get better, and I promise they will work quite easily. We've already talked about objective players and how to earn them (just play 'friendlies' a few times for XP or follow the challenges mentioned there). We also talked about FUT draft and a few online game modes, so please read my previous blogs for more information.

Today, I am going to tell you what to do and what NOT to do in UT. Firstly, please do not get too tempted by SBCs when you see that 93-rated Ronaldinho card just sitting there. This was a big mistake on my part; I sacrificed my whole squad for a 90+ TOTS player pick. I got a 91-rated Nico Williams, which is good, but not as good as my Nemanja Vidic that I sacrificed. The point is that SBCs aren't really that great for beginners and you're better off completing objectives and squad    battles (no matter how boring they might sound).

However, if you really want to try these SBCs, it doesn't hurt to try something like the 83 TOTW (Team of the Week) player pick where you can get some amazing players like Messi, Mo Salah, and Phil Foden to select one from three TOTW options for only a couple of low-rated squads.

One thing you definitely shouldn't do is use loan players. I know, I know, they do give you a higher team overall, but let's be honest, who the hell really uses loans right now? It's just a temporary card you can use for a few games, and you are better off trying to get the real version of that card that actually has some value. And you can't even use them in SBCs or evolve them.

One useful thing you could do is the 'evolutions' that we talked about yesterday. It's just like objectives, but instead of getting new players, you can use your old p

layers and level them up (thank the gods). For example, I did nothing with my Cody Gakpo base card, and nobody on the market wanted him, so I evolved him into a 92-rated card by simply playing games with him. Most evolutions cost a lot of money, but there are a lot of free ones as well, where you can use the 'Ultimate Glow Up' to make your useless silver players up to a 90 overall.

If you just started Ultimate Team, then I would suggest first focusing on gold players. Why? It's because if you have good gold players in your team, you can evolve them into 90+ mock Team of the Season cards. And you won't feel the pain of giving them away in SBCs.

Lastly, I wouldn't recommend rushing to FUT Champs (You can try them if you have to complete an evolution or something) with the objective of getting rank 1 because you're a lot further from that goal than you think. Instead, (like I've repeated this a million times) play squad battles against minimum semi-professional AI difficulty mode. By the end of the week, you will be sitting comfortably with a couple of 90-rated cards. After you reach at least an 89-rated squad (without any loan players), you can start trying FUT Champs out. It is going to be a struggle, but getting rank 1 is definitely worth it. Whoa! I'll stop myself because it's going to be a long journey before FUT Champs. For now, keep your goals small (not literally).

I hope you enjoyed today's blog, and if you have any suggestions, please write them in the comments section. See you in a few hours...
